Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as basic chopping or ingredient handling when needed. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing station and surrounding areas throughout your shift. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and bulk supplies safely and efficiently. Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to promote a safe working environment for everyone. Skills Prior experience in food handling or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures. Ability to operate commercial dishwashing and kitchen equipment safely. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items regularly. Basic knife skills and familiarity with food preparation are a plus. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.
