Job Summary:

To provide dishwashing service as needed by the Food Services Department.

Qualifications:

Experience as dishwasher in an institutional business setting preferred. High School diploma or GED or relevant work experience.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and walk. Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and walk. Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to use hands to fingers.

Work Environment:

Moderate noise (inpatient residential treatment facility, light to moderate traffic).

Duties and responsibilities:

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Perform all dishwashing/dietary functions as required by Supervisor. 2. Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and order in the kitchen, dining and storage areas. 3. Maintain a high degree of self-cleanliness.. 4. Understand need for personal hygiene and the wearing of clean uniforms. 5. Maintain an attitude of confidentiality. 6. Must be able to take written and/or verbal orders. 7. To assure all assignments are performed in a professional and caring manner. 8. Be able to understand portion control. 9. Respond to the directives of the supervisor and management staff in a professional and cooperative manner. 10. Assure that all ABHS' clients' needs are met with dignity and respect and in a timely manner. 11. Make decisions based on the welfare of the client, the success of the team, and the quality and integrity of the program. 12 Understand and facilitate federal confidentiality laws, 42 CFR, and protects client confidentiality/anonymity, and assures no information is shared without proper authorization. 13. Ensure compliance to contractual obligations, ABHS policies, and State statues (WACs). 14. Must have a current Food Handlers card and a copy will be placed in the employee's personnel file.
