Availability may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Role A clean kitchen keeps service moving. Maddalena's Italian Cafe is a locally owned, fast-casual Italian kitchen. We extrude pasta daily, simmer sauces from scratch, and cook every order with care. We are looking for a reliable dishwasher to keep clean, sanitized cookware, dishes, utensils, and smallwares available throughout prep and service. Experience is helpful, but it is not required. We will train someone who works steadily, follows instructions, and communicates before a backlog affects service. What You Will Do Wash, rinse, sanitize, air-dry, and store dishes, utensils, cookware, containers, and smallwares. Keep dirty and clean items separated. Return clean items promptly so kitchen stations do not run short. Keep the dish area clean, dry, safe, and organized. Monitor the dish machine or three-compartment sink as trained. Report chemical, temperature, drainage, equipment, or safety problems immediately. Remove trash and recycling and keep floors, paths, and exits clear. Complete assigned opening and closing duties. Support kitchen cleaning, stocking, or simple prep when dish flow allows. What We Are Looking For Reliable attendance. Ability to work steadily in a fast-paced kitchen. Ability to follow food-safety, sanitation, chemical-handling, and equipment instructions. Clear communication and willingness to ask for help when needed. A valid Washington State Food Worker Card as required by law and company policy. Restaurant dishwashing experience is helpful but not required. Physical Requirements This position requires prolonged standing and walking; frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and gripping; and lifting and carrying dish racks, cookware, supplies, and trash. The work takes place in a hot, wet, noisy kitchen around hot surfaces, sharp tools, cleaning chemicals, and wet floors. Essential duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
