Pool & Dock Attendant Latitude Marinas Melbourne Beach, FL Job Details Part-time $15 - $18 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience Groundskeeping Cash register Hospitality industry experience Stocking Full Job Description Some jobs come with a corner office. This one comes with a pool deck, a dock, a beach, and a whole lot of Florida sunshine. As our Pool & Dock Attendant , you'll help keep Harbor Island Beach Club safe, clean, welcoming, and ready for members, guests, and boaters. You'll spend your day outside, working across the pool, beach, and dock while helping guests and making sure things run the way they should. Our dock stays active with a mix of annual boaters, commercial boating operations, and transient boaters visiting Harbor Island Beach Club. You'll help keep that activity organized and assist boaters with arrivals, departures, line handling, and safely securing vessels. We're looking for someone who already has experience working around docks and boats, is comfortable making good decisions, communicates well, and doesn't need someone standing over their shoulder to notice what needs to be done. What You'll Do Keep the pool, deck, beach, bathrooms, dock, and common areas clean, safe, and guest-ready. Monitor the pool and dock areas, enforce posted rules, and handle guest concerns professionally. Complete opening, closing, and routine safety checks, including gates, equipment, signage, first aid supplies, and potential hazards. Clean and restock bathrooms and common areas and assist with trash and general property upkeep. Help members and guests with pool access, seating, questions, and whatever else helps create a great experience. Operate the concession stand and POS system as needed. Help with pool events, tournaments, and other club activities, including setup and cleanup. Complete scheduled beach cleaning and maintenance. Inspect the dock for safety or maintenance concerns and keep it clean, organized, and ready for boaters. Assist annual, commercial, and transient boaters with dock needs while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone using the area. Assist with vessel arrivals and departures, including line handling and properly securing vessels. Help transient boaters get settled and oriented to the property and available amenities. Maintain good communication with commercial boating partners operating from the dock. Keep an eye on vessels and activity around the dock and communicate maintenance, safety, operational, or guest concerns to leadership. Respond appropriately to weather-related safety concerns, injuries, incidents, and other emergencies and communicate with management when needed. Jump in wherever needed. Around here, "that's not my job" isn't our thing. What You Bring Previous dock, marina, or boating experience and confidence working around vessels. Experience assisting with vessel arrivals and departures, handling lines, and properly securing boats. Comfort working around different types of operators, from annual boaters and commercial operators to visiting transient guests. A great attitude and a genuine desire to take care of people. Reliability and the ability to work independently. You notice what needs to be done and don't wait to be asked. Strong communication skills and good judgment. You know when you can handle something and when it needs to be escalated. Comfort working outside in Florida weather and around pools, docks, beaches, and boats. Ability to work well with members, guests, children, boaters, commercial partners, and teammates. A cool head when things get tense. You can solve problems without adding drama. Ability to safely lift and move equipment and supplies. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays based on club and marina operations. Previous hospitality, customer service, pool, recreation, or club experience is a plus. Why Latitude? We run our clubs the way we run our marinas: relationships matter, ownership matters, hospitality matters, and nobody is above jumping in to help. If you love being around the water, enjoy taking care of people, and want a job where your attitude and energy actually matter, come find us. Sometimes you just need a Latitude Adjustment.
