This role is responsible for leading the club team, delivering a strong member experience, maintaining cleanliness and facility standards, and ensuring the club operates in line with company expectations. The Club Manager must be a hands-on leader who can manage people, drive accountability, solve problems quickly, and create a positive environment for both members and staff. Reports To Multi-Unit Manager Key Responsibilities Daily Club Operations Oversee the day-to-day operation of the club. Ensure the club is clean, organized, safe, and member-ready at all times. Maintain strong standards across the front desk, locker rooms, restrooms, Black Card Spa, equipment areas, and common spaces. Complete daily walkthroughs and follow up on any issues quickly. Ensure company policies, procedures, and Planet Fitness brand standards are followed. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop assistant managers, shift leaders, front desk staff, and club team members. Set clear expectations for performance, attendance, professionalism, and member service. Hold team members accountable in a fair and consistent manner. Support hiring, onboarding, training, and continued development of club staff. Build a positive team culture focused on ownership, urgency, and pride in the club. Member Experience Create a welcoming, friendly, and judgment-free environment for members and guests. Handle member concerns, complaints, billing questions, and service issues professionally. Coach the team on strong customer service, communication, and problem resolution. Monitor member feedback and take action to improve the club experience. Performance & Accountability Drive club performance through strong execution, staffing, service, cleanliness, and follow-up. Monitor labor, scheduling, productivity, membership trends, cancellations, and club priorities. Ensure team members are completing assigned tasks and meeting expectations. Communicate performance concerns and improvement plans when needed. Facility & Equipment Follow-Up Identify and report maintenance, equipment, plumbing, lighting, and facility concerns. Follow up on repairs until completion. Work with leadership, vendors, and maintenance support to keep the club operating properly. Ensure equipment, supplies, signage, and club presentation are maintained at a high standard. Required Experience Previous management or supervisory experience required. Experience leading teams in fitness, retail, hospitality, customer service, or operations preferred. Strong understanding of customer service, staffing, scheduling, cleanliness, and daily business execution. Experience handling employee performance, member concerns, and operational follow-up preferred. Required Skills Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to motivate, coach, and hold a team accountable. Strong organization and follow-up. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability. Professional, reliable, and consistent. Comfortable working hands-on with the team when needed. Success in This Role Success in this role means the club is clean, well-staffed, organized, and operating to Planet Fitness standards every day. The Club Manager should create a strong team culture, deliver a positive member experience, and take full ownership of the club's daily performance. Role Purpose The purpose of the Club Manager role is to provide strong leadership and accountability at the club level. This person is responsible for making sure the location runs properly, the team is supported, members receive great service, and company standards are consistently met.
Pay:
$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
