This role is designed for an experienced operator who can manage managers, lead large teams, drive accountability, and ensure strong day-to-day execution across multiple clubs. The Multi-Unit Manager works closely with the Vice President of Operations to support company initiatives, improve club performance, develop leadership teams, and maintain consistent Planet Fitness brand standards across all assigned locations. Reports To Vice President of Operations Locations One primary home location, plus two assigned satellite locations. Key ResponsibilitiesHome Club Leadership Directly lead the daily operation of the assigned home club. Ensure the club is clean, organized, safe, and member-ready at all times. Manage staffing, scheduling, labor, team performance, and daily execution. Develop managers, assistant managers, shift leaders, and front desk team members. Drive accountability around member experience, cleanliness, sales, retention, billing follow-up, and operational standards. Ensure all company policies, procedures, and Planet Fitness brand expectations are followed. Satellite Club Oversight Provide leadership support and operational oversight to two additional assigned club locations. Conduct regular club visits, walkthroughs, and performance follow-up. Support General Managers and club leadership teams with priorities, planning, and execution. Identify gaps in staffing, cleanliness, service, leadership, facility standards, and overall club performance. Create clear action plans and follow up until improvements are completed. Ensure all three assigned clubs are operating with consistent standards and expectations. Leadership & Team Development Manage, coach, and develop managers across assigned locations. Help managers become stronger leaders by improving communication, ownership, urgency, and follow-through. Build strong, high-performing teams that understand expectations and take pride in their clubs. Hold leaders accountable in a firm, fair, and professional manner. Identify future leadership talent and support internal growth. Performance & Standards Drive daily performance across assigned clubs. Monitor key areas such as member experience, cleanliness, staffing, labor control, club presentation, equipment follow-up, and operational execution. Ensure clubs are inspection-ready and operating at a high standard. Review performance trends and work with managers to correct issues quickly. Maintain strong visibility across all assigned locations. Support to VP of Operations Partner with the Vice President of Operations on regional priorities, company initiatives, and special projects. Provide clear updates on club performance, staffing, leadership concerns, facility issues, and follow-up items. Help ensure communication from the VP of Operations is clearly understood and executed at club level. Escalate major concerns when appropriate and help drive solutions. Required Experience Previous management experience required. Experience managing managers or multiple leaders strongly preferred. Experience leading large teams in fitness, retail, hospitality, service, or multi-unit operations preferred. Strong understanding of day-to-day business operations, customer service, labor management, staffing, and performance standards. Must be comfortable traveling between assigned club locations. Success in This Role Success in this role means all assigned clubs are clean, organized, well-staffed, and operating to Planet Fitness standards. The Multi-Unit Manager should be able to improve manager performance, strengthen team accountability, support company initiatives, and help create a consistent member and employee experience across all assigned locations. Role Purpose The purpose of the Multi-Unit Manager role is to add a strong layer of leadership between club management and the Vice President of Operations. This person should be able to own their home location while also helping two additional clubs improve through coaching, structure, standards, and consistent follow-up.
