As a Theater Director, you will oversee all aspects of production from conceptualization to execution, creating memorable experiences that resonate with diverse audiences. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of theatrical productions, including directing actors and coordinating creative elements to realize artistic visions. Manage theatrical production teams, including stage managers, designers, technicians, choreographers, and performers to ensure seamless collaboration. Oversee technical aspects such as projection system operation, theatrical lighting equipment, sound equipment, stage rigging, and live event AV production projects to enhance visual and auditory storytelling. Coordinate rehearsals for live production performances, providing guidance on acting techniques, choreography (including ballet), and stage movement. Supervise budget management for productions, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Oversee the setup and operation of stage rigging and theatrical lighting equipment to create compelling atmospheres. Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including performers, crew members, venue staff, and external partners to ensure smooth production workflows. Contribute to educational initiatives by teaching visual & performing arts techniques and fostering a vibrant theater experience for students and community members. Skills Extensive experience in performing arts direction with a strong background in theater production. Proficiency in stage rigging, theatrical lighting equipment, sound equipment, and projection system operation. Demonstrated ability to manage live production performance projects from start to finish within budget constraints. Skilled in managing theatrical production teams with excellent communication skills and public speaking abilities. Knowledge of dance forms such as ballet along with experience teaching visual & performing arts. Strong writing skills for script analysis, production notes, and promotional materials. Ability to coordinate complex live event AV setups ensuring high-quality audiovisual experiences.
