This role is best suited for someone who is highly reliable, communicates well, stays organized under pressure, and is comfortable taking ownership of staff scheduling, attendance, coverage, and performance. Responsibilities Manage and maintain employee schedules to ensure consistent staffing coverage Serve as the primary point of contact for aquatic staff Coordinate coverage for call-outs, absences, and schedule changes Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and job performance Recruit, onboard, and assist with training new staff as needed Maintain clear communication with employees and company leadership Ensure staff certifications and required documentation remain current Address routine personnel and operational issues promptly and professionally Help establish and maintain a strong culture of accountability, reliability, and safety Maintain accurate staffing and administrative records What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has an aquatics background and can be trusted to keep an operation reliably staffed and running consistently without requiring constant oversight. Required Qualifications Previous experience supervising teams of 10+ employees, preferably in aquatics Experience creating and managing employee schedules Strong judgment when handling call-outs, staffing shortages, and employee issues Excellent communication and organizational skills A high level of dependability Comfort using scheduling, communication, and administrative software Ability to respond appropriately when unexpected staffing issues arise Preferred Qualifications Prior experience managing teams of lifeguards Lifeguard, CPR/AED, or similar aquatic safety certifications or otherwise a required willingness to obtain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or otherwise a required willingness to obtain Experience hiring and onboarding employees Position Details Full-time management position Fully in-person in Albuquerque Monday through Friday, typically 8-9 hours per day
