Club Kid Site Supervisor - Before & After School Program Make a Difference Before the School Day Begins and After the Final Bell Rings! Are you someone who enjoys working with children, building relationships, and creating an environment where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to be themselves? Do you have the leadership skills to guide a team and the energy to keep up with a busy before and after school program? The YMCA of Middletown is looking for a Club Kid Site Supervisor to help lead one of our Before & After School Program sites. This is more than a supervisory position—you will have the opportunity to become a trusted adult in the lives of children and make a meaningful impact on their day. Our Club Kid programs provide children with a safe and welcoming place to learn, play, build friendships, develop confidence, and experience the YMCA's core values. As a Site Supervisor, you will help set the tone for that experience every day. What You'll Do As the Site Supervisor, you will take a leadership role in the daily operation of the program and serve as the designated staff person in charge when the Multi-Site Director is not present.

You will:

Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where every child feels valued and included. Build positive relationships with children and families and become a trusted member of their support system. Lead and supervise daily before and after school activities, including games, arts and crafts, enrichment, recreation, homework support, and special activities. Provide leadership, direction, and support to Club Kid staff. Help staff create meaningful experiences that encourage teamwork, confidence, leadership, and positive social-emotional development. Monitor attendance, staff-to-child ratios, sign-in/sign-out procedures, and daily program operations. Ensure that health, safety, emergency, and YMCA policies and procedures are followed. Respond appropriately to children's illnesses, injuries, and emergencies. Conduct and document required fire drills and emergency procedures. Maintain required visitor logs, program records, and site documentation. Follow meal and snack procedures and help ensure children have a positive experience during mealtimes. Maintain confidentiality and have access to children's health and emergency information as needed. Communicate with families and YMCA leadership regarding program needs, concerns, and successes. Help create a positive team culture where staff enjoy coming to work and children enjoy coming to Club Kid. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age . Experience working with children. Experience supervising or leading staff is a plus. Individuals pursuing a degree in education, child development, recreation, or a related field are encouraged to apply. Must have, or be willing to obtain, required CPR/First Aid and Child Abuse Prevention training . Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. A positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and genuine interest in working with children. Physical Requirements Ability to remain active, standing and moving for extended periods of time. Ability to participate in and supervise indoor and outdoor activities. Ability to move from standing to sitting on the floor and back to standing. Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments and temperatures. Ability to actively supervise and engage with children throughout the program day.
