Events Manager Musgrove Country Club | Jasper, Alabama | Full Time Position Summary The Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing exceptional member and guest events at Musgrove Country Club. This position serves as the primary point of contact for social events, private functions, tournaments, weddings, banquets, business meetings, holiday celebrations, and member programming. The Events Manager works together with the Clubhouse Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Executive Chef and Club Leadership to ensure every event reflects the club's commitment to outstanding hospitality, operational excellence, and memorable experiences. This is a highly collaborative position requiring exceptional organization, communication, creativity, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for members and guests planning private events. Ensure that every event is successfully executed with professionalism and attention to detail from origination to conclusion. Build strong relationships with Club members by providing personalized service throughout the planning process. Assist in Hosting in the restaurant during busy times to build rapport with membership. Maintain consistent communication before, during, and after each event. Collaborate and communicate closely with Food & Beverage Manager, Executive Chef, and Club Leadership relating to staffing, event menus, service, and alignment with Club standards. Promote the Club as a premier venue for weddings, receptions, corporate events, golf tournaments, celebrations, and community events. Pursue opportunities to increase event revenue while maintaining exceptional membership service. Develop/bring strong relationships with outside vendors to enhance add-on offerings for events (florals, entertainment, linens, decor). Fiscal management of all events - prepare contracts, invoices, deposits, and final billing to ensure on-time payment. Maintain profitability of events, including providing P&L statements or detailed financial reporting and ensuring menus and offerings are updated regularly to reflect current prices. Develop event proposals, timelines, banquet event orders (BEOs), and detailed event schedules. Plan and execute Club Hosted Events for Members (monthly) and assist Front of House Manager with social groups (Mahjong, Bridge, Book Club) by creating event orders and ensuring set up is complete. Qualifications Must live within 30 minutes of Jasper, Alabama or be willing to relocate. Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, private clubs, hotels, resorts, or food and beverage operations. Excellent organizational and project management skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, event management software, and club management software. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Passionate and collaborative team player. Efficient management of budgets and event logistics.
