Event Manager, The Stone House (Nevada City, CA)
Pay:
$25 per hour
Schedule:
Part time to start, with potential to grow; weekends and holidays required About the
Role:
The Stone House is a historic wedding and event venue seeking an Event Manager to oversee events from the point of booking through event day. This role ensures every event runs smoothly on site while keeping accurate records that support the venue's financial and operational tracking.
Responsibilities:
Manage assigned events from the point they are booked through completion of event day Serve as the on site point of contact for clients, vendors, and staff during events Coordinate event logistics, timelines, and setup or breakdown with venue staff and outside vendors and save vendor documentation (insurance) Maintain accurate records of profit and loss for each event Track and manage rental orders, including placing, confirming, and following up on rental needs Send payment reminders to clients and monitor outstanding balances Maintain organized event files and documentation throughout the planning process Communicate professionally with clients regarding event details, timelines, and expectations Coordinate with kitchen, facility, and other venue staff to confirm event readiness Report event outcomes, issues, and financial summaries to the General Manager as needed
Requirements:
Availability to work weekends and holidays Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable managing multiple events and timelines at once Clear, professional written and verbal communication Experience in event coordination, hospitality, or a related field preferred Ability to work independently on site and problem solve in real time
Compensation and Schedule:
$25 per hour Part time to start, with potential to become full time as the event calendar grows Weekend and holiday work required based on the event calendar Additional hours as needed for event prep and follow up
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
