Event ManagerLocation:
Pensacola, Florida (Hybrid) Role OverviewThis position entails leading the development, planning, and execution of strategic enterprise-wide employee events, which can range from curated group events to large-scale experiences for 50 to over 8,000 attendees. The role is focused on driving employee engagement and strengthening organizational culture by delivering impactful events that foster connection. The contractor will utilize an advanced event management skill set to lead moderately complex work across multiple campuses with limited supervision. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide input on and influence the overall strategic direction of moderately complex enterprise events.
Lead the development of plans, tactics, and goals for the program area using data-driven and qualitative insights.
Conduct research and analysis and provide recommendations for event strategies and improvements.
Manage the full event life cycle from concept through execution for complex, multifaceted events, including timelines, budgets, design, logistics, and communications.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with team members, leadership, key stakeholders, and vendors.
Secure and oversee vendor contracts, including preparing requests for proposals, analyzing bids, and finalizing agreements.
Provide on-site management and operational leadership to support seamless execution and proactive issue resolution.
Research, propose, and implement new ideas to automate and streamline work, reduce expenses, and improve processes.
Collect and analyze event data to present conclusions and recommendations for enhancing events.
Benchmark event offerings and results against industry practices and emerging trends.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
A minimum of five years of relevant event management experience, including logistics, planning, and coordination.
Proven ability to lead projects from concept through execution and evaluation.
Advanced project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Significant experience reviewing and negotiating contracts.
Advanced written and verbal communication, research, analytical, and decision-making skills.
High attention to detail, strong organization, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs.
Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
Advanced interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity.
Preferred QualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Cvent or a similar event management platform.
Knowledge of data-driven decision-making and post-event analysis.
Knowledge of the applicable business area or event management specialization.
