The Gig — AKA, The Behind-the-Scenes Hero At Complete Weddings + Events South Bend , we help couples throughout South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, Elkhart, and the greater Michiana area create celebrations they'll remember forever. Our Event Coordinators are the behind-the-scenes pros who make sure those celebrations actually run smoothly — from the first vendor arrival to the final dance. We handle the client booking and planning. You step in as the on-site professional who keeps the wedding day organized, handles the unexpected, and makes sure the couple gets to enjoy their day instead of managing it. When something changes — and at weddings, something always changes — you're the person who calmly says, "I've got it." What You'll Be Doing Arrive early and connect with the venue, vendors, wedding party, and other key players Keep the wedding day running according to the timeline Adjust when things don't go according to the timeline — without creating unnecessary stress Coordinate with DJs, photographers, videographers, caterers, venue staff, and other wedding professionals Help organize ceremonies, entrances, speeches, special dances, and other key moments Be the go-to point of contact so the couple and their families can actually enjoy the celebration Problem-solve quickly while staying calm, friendly, and professional Look polished, communicate confidently, and connect with everyone from grandma to the groomsmen Assist with light décor, setup, organization, and end-of-night details when needed Wrap up the event knowing you helped make someone's wedding day unforgettable What You Need Exceptional communication and organizational skills A calm, friendly, take-charge-when-needed personality Weekend availability — especially Saturdays Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the South Bend/Michiana area A professional appearance and dependable work ethic Confidence communicating with couples, families, vendors, and venue staff The ability to manage timelines and multiple priorities without losing your cool The judgment to know when to step in, when to delegate, and when to stay behind the scenes Ability to lift approximately 30-40 lbs when needed for décor, supplies, emergency kits, umbrellas, or other event items Perks & Payoffs $25•35/hour + bonuses + client tips Paid training and support — we'll teach you our systems and event flow Flexible, part-time schedule Primarily weekend work — great for someone with weekday commitments Work weddings and events throughout South Bend and the Michiana area Build real-world experience in event management, hospitality, leadership, and wedding coordination Work alongside experienced DJs, photographers, videographers, venues, caterers, and other local wedding professionals Be part of an established wedding and event team Help couples have one of the best days of their lives — without being stuck behind a desk You Might Be Our Perfect Coordinator If You...
