Barnes Student Center, Marion, IN Summary of Position:
The Conference and Event Services Assistant supports the planning and execution of university events by helping prepare event spaces, assisting guests, and ensuring smooth event operations. This part-time position provides excellent customer service while working collaboratively with campus partners to create successful and professional event experiences. Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the set-up, coordination, and teardown of conferences, meetings, special events, and university functions on campus Provide exceptional customer service by serving as a point of contact for event attendees, guests, vendors, and campus partners Support event logistics, including room configurations, signage placement, and guest wayfinding Monitor event spaces during functions to ensure schedules, facility standards, and client expectations are met Perform Administrative Tasks such as updating event records, preparing event materials, and communicating event details to stakeholders Maintain a professional and welcoming environment while adhering to university policies, safety procedures, and event service standards
Qualifications:
