The Alexis | Windham Group (AWG) is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and detail-oriented Administrative/Event Assistant to join our growing team. Position Overview The Administrative/Event Assistant provides administrative and event support for a variety of client projects. Every day is different, you may be preparing meeting materials, coordinating event logistics, communicating with clients, managing documents, or supporting conferences and special events onsite. You will work closely with experienced professionals who are committed to helping you develop valuable administrative and event management skills. What You'll Do Provide day-to-day administrative support, including scheduling, electronic filing, email management, and document preparation. Prepare, edit, and format meeting minutes, reports, presentations, and correspondence. Assist with conference and event planning activities, including registration, vendor coordination, logistics, and attendee communications. Support onsite events through setup, registration, guest assistance, and event breakdown. Conduct research and compile information for client projects. Maintain accurate records and perform timely data entry. Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and team members. Perform other duties as assigned to support AWG projects. What You'll Learn As part of this position, you'll gain experience in: Administrative Operations Event Planning & Conference Management Microsoft 365 Business Applications Professional Business Writing Project Coordination Client Service Meeting Management Team Collaboration Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year of experience in administrative support, customer service, retail, food service, or event support. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. (Rideshare services are not acceptable for this position.) Ability to lift and carry event materials up to 25 pounds. Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events. The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who: Loves administrative work and staying organized. During the initial training period, team members should expect to work primarily from our District Heights office to support hands-on learning and collaboration. Once training is complete, a regular hybrid schedule, including 1-2 remote workdays per week when appropriate, may be established based on performance and business needs. Applicants must also be available for: Weekly internal team meetings on Mondays at 12:30 PM-1:30 PM (no exceptions) Occasional paid Saturday training sessions Evening and weekend event assignments, as needed Work hours may vary based on client projects and event schedules.
Compensation Starting Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Compensation is non-negotiable for this position.
