Comic Book Knowledge is NOT Required! You do not need to be a comic book expert, historian, or collector to excel in this role. What IS necessary is your charm, wit, high energy, and ability to comfortably engage with shoppers! Whether you are talking to a die-hard collector or a casual attendee, your main job is to bring great hospitality, stay on your toes, and help keep our floor operations running smoothly. About Us & Why Join Us? (Long-Term Growth Opportunity) We are an established digital-first comic retailer and publisher (hachimaull518) expanding our physical event presence. While this initial role starts as a $10/hour entry-level booth assistant, this is the beginning of our search for an Event Manager. As our brand scales across regional conventions and trade shows in North Carolina and surrounding states, the team member who demonstrates exceptional organization, reliability, and floor leadership will have the opportunity to step into a higher-paying, recurring Event Manager position with expanded responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Welcome booth visitors with warmth, enthusiasm, and charm—engaging people even on topics you might not know everything about!
Booth & Inventory Management:
Keep display tables structured, clean, well-stocked, and organized throughout peak show hours.
Active Floor Support:
Monitor customer flow, assist with digital card/cash checkout processing, and keep track of backstock.
Setup & Teardown:
Assist with morning booth setup and end-of-day packing.
Requirements:
Based in or near the Charlotte, NC metro area with reliable transportation. Naturally outgoing, proactive, and comfortable talking to diverse crowds. Highly organized and able to stay sharp under fast-paced convention conditions. Ability to remain standing and engaged throughout full event shifts.
