About the Role We're looking for a creative, energetic, and self-motivated Event Coordinator / Social Media Marketing Manager to help us grow our business, strengthen our community, and create fun experiences that people want to come back to. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves brainstorming ideas, creating content, connecting with people, and turning creative concepts into engaging events and marketing campaigns. You'll have the flexibility to guide your own schedule while taking ownership of weekly events, social media, and community outreach. Responsibilities:

Events & Community Brainstorm and plan small, themed weekly events and experiences. We want to aim for 1 event every Saturday. Coordinate event details, timelines, activities, and promotional efforts. Attend events in person as an organizer and representative of the business. Help create a welcoming, fun, and engaging environment for guests and the community. Develop creative ideas for community outreach, partnerships, and local engagement. Look for new ways to increase attendance, engagement, and awareness of our events. Social Media & Content Create and maintain a consistent social media presence across our platforms. Develop short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Film, edit, and photograph engaging content featuring events, the business, and the community. Create marketing materials, digital graphics, flyers, and promotional content. Regularly photograph and capture content at events and throughout the business. Write engaging captions and promotional copy. Stay current with social media trends, trending sounds, hashtags, formats, and content styles. Track social media performance and use insights to improve future content. Marketing & Growth Help develop creative marketing campaigns to increase awareness and attendance. Identify opportunities for community partnerships and local outreach. Bring fresh ideas for growing the business and reaching new audiences. Monitor what's working and make recommendations based on engagement and results. Take initiative and independently manage projects from idea to execution. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Creative and enthusiastic with lots of ideas. Passionate about growing a business and building community. Comfortable working independently and managing their own time. Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with people at events. Excited about social media, trends, and creating engaging content. Organized and able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. Willing to get hands-on and be part of the action. Someone who genuinely believes work should be fun! Previous event, marketing, or social media experience is a bonus, but not required. We care more about creativity, initiative, personality, and your ability to learn and execute. Required A portfolio demonstrating basic video filming, video editing, and photography skills is required. Your portfolio can include personal projects, school projects, previous work, social media content, event content, or other creative work that demonstrates your abilities. Schedule & Compensation Starting pay: $20/hour

Approximately 40 hours per week

Schedule:

Flexible and self-guided, with the expectation that you will manage your time effectively and meet responsibilities and deadlines.

Work environment:

Hybrid — a combination of remote work and in-person work.

In-person availability:
