Job Description

Event Coordinator
EVENT COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
The program coordinator is directly responsible to the Managing Director and Board of Directors of the Warren County Historical Society and the Wilder Museum of Warren County History. It is imperative that the staff work as a team to maintain order of Warren County's artifacts, images, textiles, and documents within the confines of the space provided. Good communication skills are essential.
Schedule includes:
Part-time office hours & events
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday:
8:30 AM to 4:30 PM An occasional
Saturday:
1 to 5 PM -as needed & events Coordinating events for the historical society & Wilder Museum (including, but not limited to): Maintain Annual Events and formulate new community events with staff input Establish contacts and communicate with program speakers/presenters Partner with community organizations for events as appropriate Assist with the creation of the annual calendar of events & Pebbles Solicit donations and/or grants, volunteers and supplies for programs Promote events through press release mailer, local publications, flyers, social media, etc. Assist with preparation for community presentations Standard operations of the society: Provide office coverage when needed Provide assistance for research inquiries as requested Assist with inventories and new collection donations as needed Assist with fundraising efforts through preparation and editing Create rotating exhibits and displays as needed
Required Skills:
Personable and reliable individual attentive to detail, organized, exhibiting flexibility and adaptability to changing situations Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, database entry, and social media platforms Experience working with the general public and volunteers, enthusiasm to participate in special events/program.
