Job Description
Position Summary - Potential to become Full Time at a later date The City of Nolanville is seeking a creative, organized, and dependable individual to plan and coordinate City events, support SMART Museum programs and activities, and assist with community outreach and administrative services. This position works closely with City staff, residents, businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners to deliver welcoming, well-organized events and programs.
Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plans and coordinates City events and community activities, including schedules, logistics, supplies, vendors, volunteers, setup, cleanup, and day-of operations. Assists with event budgets, tracks expenses and participation, maintains event records, and recommends improvements for future events. Creates flyers, graphics, and promotional materials and updates community billboards with approved City information. Seeks and coordinates sponsorships and monetary or in-kind donations, maintains related records, and assists with sponsor recognition in accordance with City procedures. Supports SMART Museum programs, workshops, activities, and special events, including preparation, supplies, participant assistance, setup, cleanup, and assigned operational needs. Builds and maintains positive relationships with residents, businesses, nonprofits, volunteers, vendors, and community partners. Maintains and administers the City s RecDesk platform for facility reservations, program and event registration, and community activities. Provides occasional front-office support as needed, including answering phones, assisting customers, processing payments through the City s INCODE system, and responding to general inquiries Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; experience in event coordination, administrative support, customer service, recreation, or community programming preferred Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently and with a team. Comfort using Microsoft Office, social media, and design tools such as Canva; ability to create clear, engaging promotional materials. Experience working with sponsors, volunteers, museum or educational programs, or grant documentation is a plus. Work Schedule and Environment Work takes place at City Hall, the SMART Museum, and indoor and outdoor event locations. Evening, weekend, and occasional holiday work is required for scheduled events and programs. Duties include active participation in event setup and cleanup, standing and walking for extended periods, and moving event supplies and materials, with reasonable accommodation as appropriate. This is a Part Time Position with potential to become Full Time
