This role helps ensure event requests move smoothly from inquiry through closeout. Key responsibilities include coordinating event inquiries and scheduling; preparing and tracking contracts, invoices, and related records; supporting event planning and on-site execution as assigned; assisting with promotional materials and updates; and completing administrative purchasing steps such as check requests, requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor setup.
Required qualifications/skills:
Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through Clear written and verbal communication Basic proficiency with office software and recordkeeping Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a public-facing setting Availability for a 40-hour week with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed If you're ready to build hands-on experience in municipal event support, apply for the Special Events Specialist position.
