This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in helping events run smoothly, and is comfortable with hands-on and customer-facing work.
Position Details Pay:
$17.50/hour
Hours:
Approximately 20-30 hours per week
Schedule:
Varies based on events (primarily weekends, with occasional weekday events) Schedule & Availability Schedule will vary based on season and event volume Peak season (spring through fall) is fast-paced and highly event-driven Most shifts are evenings and weekends, with occasional weekday events Flexibility and reliability during busy seasons are essential Applicants must be available during peak season weekends What You'll Do As event staff, you will play a key role in preparing and resetting the venue for weddings, parties, corporate events, and more!
Responsibilities include:
Setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, and linens Executing event layouts based on floor plans, BEOs and event notes Cleaning and maintaining all event spaces (banquet hall, dining hall, courtyard, lobby, etc.) Restocking and preparing bride/groom suites Managing trash, sweeping, mopping, and general upkeep Assisting with event readiness (sound system, lighting, room checks) Monitoring for damages, missing items, or maintenance needs Supporting event flow and adapting to last-minute changes Providing exceptional guest services by greeting attendees, answering questions, and guiding guests throughout the event Coordinating with vendors such as caterers, decorators, DJs, etc. Providing basic audio/visual support, including setup and minor troubleshooting Assisting with playing ceremony music when needed Maintaining a safe event environment by monitoring spaces and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards What We're Looking For Must be 21+ years old Able to work weekends consistently (this is required) Comfortable with a flexible schedule (hours vary based on events) Able to lift 50+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Adaptable and able to handle changing event needs Team player with a positive attitude Willing to go the extra mile to ensure every event is set up beautifully and runs smoothly Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler's Permit Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently and professionally assist clients and their families Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Experience in event planning, hospitality, or restaurant settings is highly desirable Why This Job is Great Fun, fast-paced environment (weddings, parties, events) Flexible hours that work well with other commitments Opportunity to be part of meaningful, memorable events Very fun and supportive team environment Employee perks including discounts on hosting personal events at the venue and a complimentary gym membership at our neighboring fitness center Important Notes Event schedules vary week to week depending on bookings Most shifts are evenings and weekends Reliability is extremely important due to the nature of events
