This role assists with preparing menu items, taking and serving orders, maintaining clean service areas, restocking supplies, and helping provide an efficient and welcoming dining experience. Common Job Roles Food Service Associate Food Service Team Member Café Service Associate Restaurant Service Associate Food & Beverage Associate Key Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service Take customer orders accurately and answer basic menu questions Assist with preparing sandwiches, salads, beverages, and other menu items Package and serve food for dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders Process cash, card, and other approved payments accurately Maintain clean and organized food preparation, service, and dining areas Restock ingredients, beverages, packaging, utensils, and other supplies Follow food preparation, portion, quality, and presentation standards Wash and sanitize utensils, equipment, counters, and service areas Assist kitchen and café team members during busy service periods Follow food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and workplace safety procedures Support opening, closing, and general restaurant duties Requirements Previous restaurant, café, food service, retail, or customer service experience is an asset but not required Strong communication and customer service skills Basic math and payment-handling abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask Preferred Skills Experience in a restaurant, café, or Italian food-service environment Knowledge of basic food preparation and safe food handling Familiarity with POS systems and order processing Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities Good organization and time management skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn About the Company DePalma's Italian Cafe operates in the Italian restaurant and café industry, providing food and beverage service in a casual dining environment.
