Duties Assist in food preparation and cooking, including boiling, cutting, frying, and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to uphold health standards and prevent contamination Support menu planning by preparing ingredients and assisting with recipe adherence for consistent quality Handle food production tasks such as food handling, portioning, and plating to meet service demands Contribute to dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals and adhering to dietary restrictions Collaborate with team members to ensure high-volume production runs smoothly while maintaining cleanliness and organization Skills Previous dietary aide or food service experience preferred; experience in fine dining or catering is a plus Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and food handling protocols Proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment such as grills, knives, poaching tools, braising pans, and other culinary appliances Excellent knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining efficiency in a high-pressure environment Experience with food industry standards related to food safety sanitation and quality control Demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting within fast-paced restaurant or catering environments Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
