Duties Prepare and assemble deli products using proper slicing techniques and food preparation equipment to ensure quality and presentation standards are met. Safely handle food items through manual handling procedures, adhering to all food safety management protocols. Assist customers by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and offering meal or catering suggestions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly to meet safety standards. Perform heavy lifting when restocking supplies or moving large quantities of deli meats, cheeses, and other products. Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock appropriately, and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Follow all safety standards in production and food handling to ensure a safe environment for team members and customers.
