Must have evening/dinner, closing, and weekend availability About Campus Town Grill Campus Town Grill is a family-owned, fast-casual HMS Halal Mediterranean & American Grill located in Campus Town at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in Ewing, NJ. We serve fresh-made Mediterranean, American, and select Indian-inspired dishes, including shawarma, gyro, kebabs, burgers, chicken, falafel, hummus, salads, and more. We are looking for a reliable, experienced, hardworking Front of House Team Member who enjoys working with customers and being part of a team. We are a growing restaurant, and we expect every team member to be willing to learn, cross-train, and help wherever needed . Position Summary The Front of House Team Member is responsible for providing excellent customer service while keeping the restaurant clean, organized, stocked, and ready for customers. This position includes customer service, Toast POS, order taking, expo/order assembly, dining room maintenance, cleaning, restocking, basic food preparation, and assisting the kitchen during slower periods. You should be comfortable staying active throughout the shift and helping wherever the team needs support. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & POS Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service Take dine-in, takeout, pickup, and delivery orders Operate the Toast POS system accurately Process cash and credit/debit card payments Answer customer questions about menu items and ingredients Ensure orders are accurate and properly packaged Expo & Order Assembly Prepare and organize customer orders Check orders for accuracy and completeness Package takeout and delivery orders Coordinate with kitchen staff to keep orders moving efficiently Restaurant Cleanliness Clean and maintain dining areas throughout the shift Wipe tables, chairs, counters, trays, and other customer areas Clean interior and exterior customer-facing windows as needed Clean and maintain men's and women's restrooms Sweep and mop floors Empty trash and replace liners Keep front counter and service areas clean and organized Restocking & Restaurant Operations Restock sauces, utensils, napkins, bags, cups, containers, beverages, and other supplies Monitor supplies and communicate when items are running low Help organize storage and supply areas Assist with basic inventory checks Maintain a clean and organized FOH throughout the shift Kitchen Support Assist with basic food preparation during slower periods Help with dishes and kitchen cleanup when needed Assist with restocking kitchen supplies Support BOH team members when additional help is needed Cross-Training Expectations All team members are expected to learn multiple areas of the restaurant.

Preferred:

1+ year restaurant, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience Previous POS experience Toast POS experience Restaurant food preparation experience ServSafe or other food-safety certification Schedule Our restaurant operates during daytime and evening hours, and we specifically need team members who can reliably work: Dinner/evening shifts Closing shifts Weekends Occasional holidays or special events Daytime-only availability may not meet our current staffing needs.
