Job Description
Must be 18 years old and willing to work weekends. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their deli selections. Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, according to food safety guidelines. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed. Adhere to food safety regulations and company policies at all times. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers regarding deli products and promotions. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours. Experience Previous experience in a grocery store or food service environment is preferred. Familiarity with basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management. Experience operating a cash register or point-of-sale system is advantageous. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
