Mad River Veterinary Service is a full-service, one doctor, family oriented veterinary facility seeking a team player to join us. We have a need for capable, enthusiastic, experienced Veterinary Technician/Assistant, Receptionist, with high-quality people skills and kennel care provider. A background in veterinary care or life experience in animal health is preferred. We are willing to invest in training enthusiastic individuals who bring other skill sets to assist us. 2-4 days/ week & possibly Saturday mornings. Ideally, mature candidates would job share management in our Animal Health Care Team.

Applicants must:

• be organized, self-motivated, play well with others, have the ability to hustle, juggle & perhaps leap tall building with a single bound.
• have computer skills including Microsoft Office and flexibility to learn new database systems.
• have a great sense of humor and patience with the doctor as well as patients and clients.
• be respectful of OSHA standards.
• be willing to work some shared weekend hours.

Responsibilities may include:

(+/-) Veterinary technician duties, patient care, customer service, accounts payable, inventory management, obtaining patient data and histories, educating clients on pet wellness plans & diagnostic procedures. Our office location offers views of Vermont's historic ski area Mad River Glen and Sugarbush Ski Areas.
