This position oversees an assigned flight from start to finish, ensuring all catering carts, equipment, meals, beverages, and supplies are accurately prepared and delivered to the aircraft according to airline specifications and scheduled departure times. The Flight Coordinator works closely with catering production, warehouse, drivers, ramp personnel, airline representatives, and other operational teams to ensure flights are serviced safely, accurately, and on time. Pay rate is $31.01 - 33.65/ hour Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all catering activities for an assigned flight from beginning to completion.
  • Review flight information, catering requirements, special requests, and departure times.
  • Gather and verify all required meals, beverages, supplies, equipment, and catering items for the assigned flight.
  • Build and organize catering carts according to airline specifications and established procedures.
  • Ensure carts and equipment are properly stocked, secured, labeled, and prepared for delivery.
  • Verify catering quantities and ensure the correct products are assigned to the correct flight.
  • Identify and communicate shortages, discrepancies, damaged products, or special catering requirements to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Coordinate with production and warehouse personnel to obtain missing or delayed items.
  • Work closely with internal personnel and ramp personnel to ensure the flight is serviced within the required timeframe.
  • Maintain awareness of flight schedules, gate changes, delays, cancellations, and other operational changes that may affect catering service.
  • Ensure all catering equipment and carts are accounted for before and after flight servicing.
  • Follow all airline, airport, company, food safety, security, and sanitation requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure catering equipment is handled appropriately.
  • Complete required paperwork, checklists, and flight documentation accurately.
  • Immediately report operational, safety, security, or quality concerns to management.
  • Assist with additional operational duties as needed to support the overall catering operation. Qualifications
  • Previous experience in airline catering, food service, hospitality, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed airline and company procedures.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret flight information, catering orders, and production documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while also coordinating effectively with a team.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts.
  • Must be able to work in an airport environment and comply with all applicable airport security requirements.
Work Environment This position operates in a fast-paced airline catering environment and may involve working in food production areas, warehouses, catering docks, airport ramp areas, and around catering trucks and aircraft. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, aircraft noise, vehicle traffic, and outdoor weather conditions. Strict adherence to airport security, food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and airline-specific procedures is required. Schedule and Availability
  • Must be available to work afternoons, weekends and holidays.
  • Flexible availability may be required based on airline flight schedules.
  • Shifts may include early morning, daytime, evening, overnight, and holiday schedules.
  • Overtime may be required based on operational needs. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, squat, and climb steps.
  • Ability to push and pull catering carts and equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment as required.
  • Ability to work safely around moving vehicles, catering trucks, and aircraft operations. The Flight Coordinator is expected to:
  • Ensure assigned flights are fully and accurately catered.
  • Maintain accurate and timely communication with operational teams.
  • Meet flight servicing deadlines and support on-time departures.
  • Minimize catering errors, shortages, and equipment discrepancies.
  • Follow all safety, security, sanitation, and airline procedures.
  • Demonstrate reliability, urgency, accountability, and attention to detail.
This pay range outlined herein is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
