Job Summary:
The Cabin Crew Manager is an equal-level member of the Inflight leadership team and reports directly to the Director of Inflight. The position provides operational leadership, coaching, communication, and day-to-day support to the entire Cabin Crew team, including both Cabin Attendants and Flight Attendants. Cabin Crew Managers are not assigned authority over only one employee group; each manager is expected to lead and support the complete team consistently and collaboratively. In addition to flying or serving on standby, the Cabin Crew Manager participates in a rotating Manager on Duty (MOD) assignment. During the assigned MOD rotation, the manager serves as the primary operational contact for the entire Inflight Team and has the authority to address time-sensitive operational, staffing, catering, service, and crew-support matters within established company policies and escalation guidelines.
Monthly Schedule and Availability:
Work or sit standby for two eight-day rotations each month. Serve as Manager on Duty for one Tuesday-through-Monday rotation each month. Remain reachable and responsive throughout the assigned MOD rotation and provide timely support to team members flying during that period. Participate in rotation handoffs, operational debriefs, training, meetings, and additional assignments as scheduled by the Director of Inflight Attend all required company meetings and complete all required company, departmental, safety, compliance, and position-specific training. Maintain the flexibility required for charter operations, including schedule changes, irregular operations, nights, weekends, holidays, and time-sensitive crew needs.
Essential Leadership Responsibilities:
Provide consistent leadership and operational support to all Cabin Attendants and Flight Attendants, regardless of position specialty or assigned aircraft. Model professional conduct, sound judgment, service excellence, discretion, accountability, and a safety-first approach. Coach and support team members regarding performance expectations, company procedures, service standards, communication, and professional development. Promote a unified Cabin Crew culture and help eliminate unnecessary division between Cabin Attendant and Flight Attendant groups. Partner with peer Cabin Crew Managers as equals, sharing information and applying policies and expectations consistently across the team. Support the Director of Inflight with implementation of departmental goals, standards, procedures, staffing plans, training initiatives, and operational improvements. Perform other duties, special projects, and operational assignments as directed by the Director of Inflight. Identify recurring operational concerns, service gaps, scheduling risks, training needs, and process-improvement opportunities and elevate recommendations to the Director of Inflight. Maintain appropriate confidentiality when handling employee, client, passenger, safety, and operational information.
Operational and Crew Support Responsibilities:
Monitor daily Inflight operations and provide timely direction or escalation when circumstances require management attention. Assist with staffing coverage, call-outs, schedule disruptions, delays, trip changes, and other irregular operations. Support the review and coordination of catering requirements, special requests, changes, cancellations, and service concerns. Respond professionally to crew, customer, and client concerns and involve the Director of Inflight or other leaders when escalation is warranted. Document material incidents, employee concerns, service issues, operational decisions, and follow-up actions accurately and promptly. Help ensure that policies, service procedures, uniform and appearance standards, safety requirements, and communication expectations are followed consistently. Fly assigned trips or remain available on standby during scheduled work rotations, performing Cabin Crew duties to company standards.
Manager On Duty Responsibilities:
During each Tuesday-through-Monday MOD rotation, the Cabin Crew Manager will: On Tuesday morning, send an email to the Inflight Team members flying during the upcoming rotation. The email must identify the MOD and advise team members to contact the MOD when assistance is needed. Answer all calls from Inflight Team members promptly. Monitor WhatsApp regularly and respond to messages requiring attention. Monitor all catering orders, changes, cancellations, and special requests. Confirm that urgent catering issues are communicated to the appropriate team. Serve as the primary point of contact for operational questions and concerns. Address staffing issues, call-outs, delays, and coverage needs. Review the schedule for the following rotation and identify potential staffing, coverage, or scheduling concerns. Assist team members with questions, problems, and unexpected situations. Monitor daily operations and follow up on outstanding issues. Respond to customer or client concerns and escalate serious matters when necessary. Communicate important updates to managers, supervisors, and affected team members. Document incidents, service issues, staffing concerns, and actions taken. Follow up to confirm that reported problems have been resolved. Handle urgent or emergency situations in accordance with company procedures. On Monday evening, conduct a debrief call with the incoming MOD and communicate unresolved issues, pending catering orders, scheduling concerns, and required follow-up
Decision-Making and Escalation:
Exercise management authority for the complete Cabin Crew team during the assigned MOD rotation. Make timely operational decisions within established policies, procedures, and delegated authority. Escalate safety events, significant employee matters, serious customer concerns, policy exceptions, and high-impact operational issues to the Director of Inflight or designated company leader. Ensure that decisions, handoffs, and follow-up actions are clearly documented and communicated to the appropriate parties
Qualifications:
Demonstrated Cabin Crew experience in charter, corporate, private, or commercial aviation; charter or private aviation experience is strongly preferred. Prior leadership, supervisory, mentoring, training, or management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Cabin Crew operations, safety responsibilities, service delivery, catering coordination, scheduling, and irregular-operations support. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate calmly and clearly in time-sensitive situations. Strong judgment, discretion, organization, follow-through, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to lead both Cabin Attendants and Flight Attendants consistently without creating role-based divisions. Ability to use company communication, scheduling, and operational systems, including email and WhatsApp or designated communication platforms. Must maintain all company-required qualifications, training, documentation, and travel eligibility applicable to assigned Cabin Crew duties..
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel and work aboard aircraft for extended periods, including variable schedules, weekends, nights, and holidays. Ability to perform the physical and safety-related functions required of assigned Cabin Crew duties, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to remain available and responsive during scheduled standby and MOD periods. Ability to manage confidential, sensitive, and urgent matters professionally in a fast-changing operational environment. Required Education and Experience:
Must be 21 years of age. Must have a current, valid driver's license. Must have current passport or be willing to obtain passport within 30 days of date of hire. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing. Must regularly be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
