Fruition Brewing and Kitchen is looking for a cook to join our small kitchen team. Night and weekend availability is required. We are a small brewery and kitchen in the East Lake Village shopping center in Watsonville. We brew all of our beer right here, and offer a complimentary and diverse menu of small plates, sandwiches, seafood, soups and salads, utilizing a lot of fresh local, sustainable, and organic ingredients. We're hiring for a part-time cook, but we currently have the ability to offer a full-time role with additional responsibility and compensation for the right person. We're not looking to fill that role just to fill a title. We're looking for someone who naturally takes ownership, communicates well, thinks ahead, solves problems, and wants to become an important part of a small operation. Tip pool:

25% of all tips go to the kitchen, and are distributed on paychecks based on hours worked. Tips range seasonally from about $5 - $7/hr. Qualifications Professional kitchen experience required Current California Food Handler Card required Night and weekend availability required Ability to work on your feet for extended periods Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and customers Ability to learn new recipes, procedures, and menu changes quickly and accurately We're looking for someone who: Shows up on time and ready to work Pays attention, follows directions, and takes pride in doing things well Works efficiently and stays organized during service Is receptive to feedback and interested in learning Can take initiative and work independently when needed Is willing to jump in wherever they're needed Because our kitchen is small, everyone does a little bit of everything. You can expect to work as a line cook, prep cook, dishwasher, food runner, and closer. Cleaning, organization, food safety, and helping your teammates are just as much a part of the job as cooking. Reliability, work ethic, attitude, and attention to detail matter to us as much as experience.
