Job Summary Join our dynamic food manufacturing team as a Candy Maker, where your creativity and precision will bring delightful confections to life! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality candies by following established recipes and manufacturing procedures. Your expertise in food preparation, machine operation, and safety standards will ensure our products meet the highest food safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to crafting sweet treats that bring joy to consumers worldwide. Duties Prepare candy mixtures by measuring, mixing, and cooking ingredients according to recipes and production guidelines. Operate specialized machinery such as melting tanks, tempering machines, and conveyor systems to produce consistent product quality. Maintain strict sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout the production area, adhering to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Handle materials safely using appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow safety protocols for heavy lifting and manual handling. Conduct quality checks during production, ensuring candies meet visual standards, texture specifications, and weight requirements. Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow. Follow manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory/legal compliance standards in all aspects of food production. Requirements Proven experience in food production, baking, or kitchen environments with strong knife skills and food handling knowledge. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain manufacturing equipment safely. Familiarity with sanitation practices, GMP, HACCP principles, and safety standards in a food manufacturing setting. Ability to perform basic math calculations for ingredient measurements and recipe adjustments accurately. Valid certification or experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or similar machinery preferred. Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to food safety management and legal requirements in food processing. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.
