Job Overview We are looking for someone to join our production team as an oven operator. This job primarily involves wheeling large racks of bread in and out of industrial-sized ovens, operating the ovens themselves to ensure proper cooking practices, maintaining a clean work station, and keeping up in a fast-paced working environment. Beating the heat is unfortunately one of the more demanding parts of this position, there is only so much that can be done about the heat when the job requires operating ovens, inside, in Texas. We don't sugar coat it, it's going to get hot back there. We do what we can to try and mitigate some of the heat, but it's unfortunately unavoidable. New workers will be on a 90 day probationary period to start, and health insurance plans will be made available after 60 days of employment. Pay starts at $15 an hour, employees are given 40 hours of vacation time annually, and employees receive a 50% discount on most items in the storefront. Responsibilities Operate and monitor industrial ovens to ensure consistent baking processes and optimal product quality. Handle food going into and coming out of ovens, rolling racks to the cooling area, etc. Follow GMP standards to maintain food safety and sanitation throughout production. Conduct routine sanitation and cleaning of oven equipment and work areas to meet safety standards in production.
