Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Wine Ambassador, where your passion for wine and exceptional customer service will shine! In this dynamic role, you will serve as a knowledgeable guide for guests exploring our curated wine selections, creating memorable experiences through engaging tastings and personalized recommendations. Your enthusiasm for wine, combined with your hospitality expertise, will elevate our guests' journey and foster a welcoming atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in wine knowledge, sales, and food and beverage service within a lively, fast-paced environment. This is a tipped role. Duties Provide expert guidance on wine selections, sharing detailed tasting notes and pairing suggestions to enhance guest experiences Conduct engaging wine tastings, educating customers about different varieties, regions, and production methods Assist guests in selecting wines that suit their preferences and occasions, upselling where appropriate to boost sales Maintain accurate POS and inventory transactions using OrderPort POS to process sales efficiently Support menu planning by offering insights into wine pairings with food offerings, collaborating with culinary teams when needed Ensure proper wine storage, handling, and serving techniques in accordance with food safety standards Foster a welcoming environment by delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with guests and team members Experience Previous experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in restaurant or fine dining settings Knowledge of wines, including serving techniques and wine service standards Proven sales skills with a focus on upselling and enhancing customer satisfaction Experience in food handling, catering, banquet service or hospitality roles is highly desirable Culinary experience or background in meal preparation can be an asset to understanding food pairings Demonstrated ability to lead or work effectively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of service Join us as a Wine Ambassador and become a vital part of creating memorable moments for our guests through your expertise and passion!
