LAS MERCEDES ADULT DAY CARE ADC ATTENDANT

The ADC Attendant is trained to assist the participants attending the center in Activities and entertainment. The following are some, but not all, of the essential functions and duties of this position. Regular attendance is an essential function of all positions.

• Responsible for developing and maintaining a positive and professional relationship with the participants.
• The ability to deal tactfully and respectfully with the participants.
• Receive the participants at the time of arrival.
• Assist the participants with nutritional needs such as serving, breakfast, lunch and snack.
• Participate with members in daily activities such as: o Karaoke o Games o Arts and crafts o Dominoes o Music/Dancing o Choir o Group exercise o Birthday celebrations o And other activities assigned by the center Administrator/Supervisor.
• Assist in center decoration including themed activities and parties.
• Responsible for up -keeping daily task as needed; dust furniture, vacuum & clean floors, empty trash containers, polish mirrors and glass; clean fixtures & decorative items; sanitize toilets and urinals. Kitchen cleaning and upkeeping
• Participate in continuing education and facility monthly emergency evacuation fire drills.
• The ADC Attendant reports to the Adult Day Care Administrator/Supervisor at all times.

Physical Difficulty. Works with hot water and strong detergents/cleaning products; lifts moderately heavy equipment; exposed to hazards such as broken glass in trash and chemical irritations; frequently exposed to solid human waste during daily cleaning task; must have the ability to work standing for extended period of times; must maintain in active and attentive made.
