Assist guests with their to-go orders, ensuring accuracy and timely pickup while maintaining high standards of guest service. Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about menu items, wait times, and reservation details with proper phone etiquette. Support the front-of-house team by managing guest flow efficiently during busy hours and maintaining a clean, organized host station. Use POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders and payments accurately for takeout transactions. Maintain knowledge of food safety standards and ensure all guest interactions reflect hospitality best practices. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key. Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and takeout orders effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally over the phone and in person. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash or card transactions via POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS. Knowledge of restaurant reservation management software and restaurant table management systems is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
