Job Description

.SUMMARY
OF POSITION
Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests at a table that best serves their wishes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Open the door for guests and warmly and graciously greet them upon arrival. Use the iPad/Yelp system to manage the wait list and seating. When immediate seating is unavailable, add guest names and party size to the wait list. Provide guests with an estimated waiting time. Page guests when tables become available. Thank guests for waiting. Ask the number of children in their party. Walk guests with menus to their table. Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible. Seat guests based on preferences and balancing of customer flow in service sections. Upon seating, inform guests of their server's name. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Wear a headset throughout the shift to communicate with the manager on duty and fellow team members. Keep host area, floors, and door glass clean. Be able to fill in where needed to ensure a smooth shift.
QUALIFICATIONS
No previous restaurant experience required. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests. Exceptional grooming habits. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be available 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM every day, including weekends and holidays. We are closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. Fulltime applicants must consider Keke's their primary place of employment. All employees must wear dark blue jeans, a black belt, black socks, and black nonslip shoes on the first day of work. Must be in the approved Keke's uniform at all times when entering the café for work. Must pass a test before advancing to the next training position. Each location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Applications will be directed to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of the individual franchise location.
