Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. Your friendly demeanor, organizational skills, and ability to manage reservations efficiently will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality talents while supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly with enthusiasm and professionalism, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable upon arrival. Manage restaurant reservations using OpenTable. Maintain a waitlist and accurately estimate wait times, communicating effectively with guests via phone and in person. Coordinate seating assignments with the dining staff, ensuring timely and organized table turnover. Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus and reservation logs. Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at all times. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a similar customer service role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems. Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional phone manner. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for managing seating charts, waitlists, and billing procedures. Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Organizational skills to manage reservations, guest flow, and table assignments seamlessly.
