Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction while adhering to safety and social distancing guidelines. Handle all cashier duties accurately, including processing payments via POS systems, giving correct change, and managing cash register operations. Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about wait times, reservations, and menu details while practicing excellent phone etiquette. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization at the host stand and cashier station in compliance with food safety standards. Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS technology such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating flow, and cash register operations efficiently. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in a food service environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
