Lucy in the Rye Host/Busser Position We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to join our dynamic team! As the first point of contact for our guests, you will create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities Greet guests with genuine enthusiasm and guide them to their tables promptly Clean tables Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Provide accurate wait times and answer guest inquiries with professionalism and warmth Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring a positive first impression Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and guest satisfaction Handle phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing information or assistance as needed Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a memorable experience for all visitors Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting preferred Strong background in food service and customer service roles, demonstrating excellent communication skills Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Experience working in hotel or guest services environments is a plus Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence Ability to handle phone inquiries professionally and maintain composure during busy periods Join us and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences!
