Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression Manage restaurant reservations using established table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and minimize wait times Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and waitlist status Support food safety and cleanliness standards in the host area to ensure a welcoming environment Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to facilitate smooth guest transitions and efficient service Skills Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette Proficiency in restaurant reservation management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and table counts Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously Knowledge of hospitality principles and guest relations best practices Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Familiarity with food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow within the hospitality industry.
