General Description:

Breakfast host/hostess is responsible for setting up and dismantling of the breakfast area, including inventories of food items, paper goods and preparation of the food.

Basic Criteria:

Must have good organizational and guest service skills.

Weight Requirements:

40-60 pounds for push/pull and lifting. Duties Greet guests with a friendly smile and provide prompt, attentive service to ensure a welcoming atmosphere. Assist with food presentation and light food preparation to support the breakfast service team. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of public areas at all times. Ensure countertops and machines are clean and tidy at all times. Always be available by the Continental Breakfast Bar during meal times to restock or refill items as needed. Maintain stock of breakfast foods during continental breakfast. Maintain cleanliness of breakfast area, kitchen and/or pantry area, and mop, wipe down countertops, etc., during and after breakfast hours (breakfast dining area must be cleaned and dismantled within one hour of breakfast closing time). Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Handle guest inquiries professionally, addressing special dietary needs or requests with care and accuracy. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items and uphold high-quality standards.

Skills Proven experience in fine dining or hospitality environments, especially within food service or restaurant settings. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Experience serving in restaurants, catering events, or banquet settings is highly desirable. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations to ensure hygienic practices. Barista experience or familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus. Excellent communication skills paired with a friendly, energetic demeanor that enhances guest interactions. Interact with guest for guest stay feedback and maintaining hotel service scores. Being part of team to maintain high guest service scores. Have a thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and how to follow the steps. Perform all other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
