Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly and energetic Host/Busser to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. As a Host/Busser, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring smooth operations within the dining area. Duties Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about the menu and assisting guests with their needs. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Clear tables efficiently after guests depart, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for the next guests. Assist in setting up and maintaining the dining area, including arranging tables, chairs, and decor as needed. Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or answering inquiries about the restaurant. Support food service operations by delivering food and beverages to tables as required. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is advantageous. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to food service and hospitality. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
