Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Cashier to join our team in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage guest interactions efficiently while handling cash transactions. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements. Manage the flow of guests in the restaurant, ensuring timely seating and service. Take and process customer payments. Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring all payments are processed correctly. Provide information about menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance guest experience. Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and waiting areas. Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service delivery. Assist wait staff with bussing tables and/ or customer beverages as needed. Answering telephone calls. Qualifications Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members. Familiarity with touch screen POS systems. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for food service and hospitality, demonstrating a commitment to providing excellent guest experiences. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
