Job Description

Blue Elephant in Wayne is seeking a full-time Host/Hostess to join our growing Front-of-House Team. The ideal candidate is able to work. We are looking for people who exhibit genuine hospitality, positive attitude, strong communication skills and can handle multi-tasking with grace and composure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Meets and greets guests as they arrive, escorts them to tables, and presents menus. Promptly answers the Restaurant telephone within three rings using the correct daytime greeting and proper telephone etiquette. Assists in maintaining an open line of communications between guests, management and team member. Takes Take our orders over telephone and relays orders to Kitchen

QUALIFICATIONS

Able to communicate effectively with the guests, team members and public and managers. Excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of Resy reservation system is a plus Ability to recite and promote a variety of menu items. Able to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern demonstrating empathy with the guest and providing positive and proactive solutions.
