Maintain sanitation standards by properly handling cleaning chemicals and adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to prevent accidents or chemical exposure. Assist with hotel emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring guest safety at all times. Use cleaning equipment effectively while practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury during heavy lifting or repetitive tasks. Support hotel housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly. Qualifications Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, especially within hotel housekeeping or hospitality settings. Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, polishing, and chemical agent handling. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
