The Deerfield Inn , operated by Historic Deerfield, is seeking a friendly and reliable Front Desk Clerk to provide excellent guest service and support the daily operations of our boutique inn. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people in a warm, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities Guest Relations:

Greet and check in guests with professionalism and warmth. Respond to guest inquiries and concierge requests regarding local attractions and directions.

Reservations:

Process room reservations while accurately noting special requests (e.g., accessibility needs, pet-friendly rooms). Assist guests with breakfast, lunch, and dinner dining reservations.

Financial Duties:

Manage guest check-out, ensure all charges are accurate, balance the cash drawer, and complete daily accounting tasks at the start and end of shifts.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with housekeeping and restaurant staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Facility Upkeep:

Maintain the general upkeep and presentation of the lobby and common lounge areas.

Qualifications Experience:

Minimum 2 years of hospitality or customer service experience required.

Skills:

Strong communication skills (in-person, phone, and email). Basic computer proficiency is required; familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.

Attributes:

Friendly, approachable, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
