Starting pay is $16 per hour, part time. Apply on Indeed or in person if preferred. We are located at 1000 Minnesota Ave Duluth

located just 4 blocks past the Duluth Lift Bridge. Fairfield Duluth Waterfront by Marriott is located on beautiful Park Point, surrounded by sailboats with a view of the Duluth Lift bridge, 4 blocks from Canal Park. Previous Hotel experience is a plus. Must be able to work weekends.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES & POSITION PURPOSE
Delivers excellent customer service while interacting with guests during the check-in and check-out procedure. Welcomes and thanks all guests for their patronage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Answers all incoming and in-house phone calls using the proper procedures as set forth in the Guest Service operating procedures. Welcomes guest to the hotel and performs the check-in process. Thanks guests and performs the check-out process. Assists callers with making and/or changing reservations. Performs routine daily tasks as set forth in the daily checklist Excellent knowledge on local attractions and entertainment venues. Knowledgeable on facilities and amenities associated with the hotel. Communicate with guests and employees both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction. Exercises proper cash handling as described in the hotel's Cash Handling Policies. Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time. OTHER Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established by Converge Hospitality from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS I
addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions. The time spent performing each function will be determined by the particular requirements of the hotel. Assist all guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience. Any other tasks as requested by direct supervisor or other hotel management staff. Assist in training of new Guest Service Representatives. Maintain laundry operations, and cleaning standards.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and backup systems. Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests. Thorough organizational skills, proficient in accomplishing all tasks. Ability to analyze statistical data and make decisions accordingly. Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education/Experience Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to effectively perform the duties. Comparable hotel size and scope of experience preferred. Grooming All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Business attire is required. NOTICE Our hotel functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
