Job Description

Position Summary This part-time Evening Guest Service/Front Desk position covers 2:00 PM-10:00 PM shifts, four days a week, with occasional weekend and early-morning (6:00 AM-2:00 PM) coverage based on occupancy. This associate is the face of the hotel during the evening shift — delivering attentive, professional service while working independently and using sound judgment. Schedule Part-time, 4 days per week, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Some weekend availability required. Occasional 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM shifts may be required based on hotel occupancy. Guest Services Responsibilities
  • Greets and assists guests warmly, anticipating needs before they're asked
  • Delivers a consistently high standard of service at every guest interaction
  • Handles check-ins, check-outs, billing, reservations, and special requests accurately and efficiently
  • Speaks knowledgeably about the property, amenities, and the local Staples always being a champion for Discover Staples.
  • Balances independent work with team support, pitching in across departments as needed
  • Maximizes room revenue through effective selling techniques and upselling
  • Manages room availability and follows all booking policies and procedures
  • Assists with maintaining a tidy lobby and work areas, restocking supplies, and completing assigned projects during slower periods Operational Responsibilities
  • Handles all equipment properly
  • Plans and prioritizes to keep pace with a fast-moving shift
  • Keeps the work area clean and safe
  • Knows and follows emergency and incident-reporting procedures Skills & Competencies
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Computer literate — comfortable with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment; juggles multiple priorities with ease
  • Hospitality or guest service experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience a plus
  • Available weekends, with flexibility for occasional early-morning shifts Education High school diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Able to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Able to move throughout the hotel property as needed
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
