Position Opportunity:

Old Westbury Golf & Country Club, a private 490-member family country club, located in beautiful Old Westbury, Long Island, NY is searching for a weekend front desk agent.

Position Purpose:

The Front Desk Agent serves as a primary point of contact for members and guests at Old Westbury Golf & Country Club. This role is responsible for delivering a professional, welcoming, and efficient front desk experience while supporting clubhouse operations, member services, and administrative needs. The Front Desk Agent plays a key role in upholding the service standards of a private, high-end country club.

Member & Guest Services:

Greet members and guests warmly and professionally upon arrival Assist with check-in, directions, and general club inquiries Answer and direct phone calls courteously and efficiently Provide accurate information regarding club amenities, events, and policies Maintain awareness of daily club activities and schedules

Front Desk Operations:

Manage front desk operations during assigned shifts Handle member requests and relay messages to appropriate departments Maintain front desk organization and presentation standards Monitor lobby activity and assist as needed

Administrative Support:

Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, buffet labels, and reports Maintain logs, schedules, or sign-in sheets as required

Coordination & Communication Communicate:

Effectively with clubhouse departments and management Relay service requests or issues promptly Coordinate with valet, locker room, and other clubhouse staff

Professional Standards & Conduct:

Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills Maintain discretion and confidentiality in a private club environment Represent Old Westbury Golf & Country Club professionally at all times

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years receptionist experience is preferred. Must be well acquainted with Microsoft office. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to communicate clearly a professionally. Professional and team oriented. Must be able to work the following schedule:

Saturday:

8am-4pm (8am - 8pm if dinner is served)

Sunday:

8am-8pm

Additional Club information: Old Westbury has a rich history and offers 27 holes of golf, one indoor and 14 outdoor tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool and a fitness center. Currently the club has 490-member families. Summers are busy when the pool opens (Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend). Multiple dining facilities offer varying meal periods with a range of cuisine styles. Annual Food and Beverage revenues approximate $4.6 million.
