Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit information. Promote IHG Rewards program and provide recognition and benefits to all current members. Accept payment for guests' accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout. Promptly respond to and resolve guest complaints. Answer telephone promptly and properly being polite, courteous, and friendly. Be friendly, thorough, accurate and efficient in taking reservations. Be friendly, thorough, accurate and efficient in performing Check-ins/Check-outs. Use the guests' names

Be knowledgeable and helpful about the local area, the hotel and hotel services
Handle messages, wake-up calls, mail, and faxes properly
Follow all applicable Company Standard Operating Procedures.

Schedule varies week to week, must be flexible and willing to work weekends and holidays.

Revenue Generations Skills:

Demonstrates proper selling techniques during the reservation and walk-in process

Aggressively seek and react to opportunities to sell rooms.

Have complete knowledge of hotel rooms, function space, other outlets, and services. Stays current with developments in the hotel by reviewing the communication log each shift; updates log book for next shift. Report potential sales contacts to the sales department.

Teamwork/Supportive Skills:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel. Book reservations for those guests who approach the Front Desk
